Earth's internet is reachable through space-linked systems, but no extraterrestrial has been shown using it.
A visitor reaching Earth would still face practical barriers: unfamiliar protocols, signal access, authentication, and the need to connect without revealing its location. The established lesson is narrower and more useful: space systems already form part of Earth's cyber battlefield, while extraterrestrial access remains an unsupported possibility.

A visitor advanced enough to reach Earth could read our networks as easily as we read a signal, unless we keep the door closed.
An intelligence able to cross interstellar distance would not need to browse like a human; it could treat Earth's networks as a map of our machines, habits, and weaknesses. The deeper possibility is asymmetric contact: our public data becomes an open window, while the visitor's presence stays hidden. That makes quarantine and restraint more important than curiosity.
