Will Trump’s rhetoric and legal threats cause federal agents to intervene in the midterm elections?Source

Armed federal agents cannot lawfully police the polls; courts and states are preparing to keep voting open.
A president is using threatening rhetoric while facing firm legal limits. Armed agents at polling places would be unlawful, and courts, state officials, and election administrators have established ways to resist it. The documented risk is not a lawful presidential power to seize elections, but intimidation, confusion, and disruptive actions that officials must stop.
The first move is not seizing every ballot; it is making officials fear who might come for them.
A warehouse of federal power does not need to appear at every polling place to unsettle an election. Demands for voter files, ballot seizures, investigations, and threats can shift control toward Washington while preserving deniability. The incentive is leverage: make officials and voters fear intervention, then use the resulting confusion in post-election fights. State preparation and public attention remain the counterweight.
