The Story
The DOJ removed thousands of public files, but the classified Epstein material itself remains unidentified.
The public record shows a large, imperfect release rather than a proven map of classified omissions. DOJ says unreleased pages were duplicative, unrelated or privileged, while later removals were linked in part to survivor privacy and explicit material. The classified documents identified by CBS establish that such material entered DOJ records, not what happened to it afterward.

Who controls the Epstein files, and how much of the truth can vanish before we notice?
At least three DOJ records show classified Epstein-related material reached the Deputy Attorney General’s office in March 2025. That proves classified records existed, not that they were later withheld from the public release. With tens of thousands of pages removed or missing, the bigger question is who controls the record of what we are allowed to know.
