The strongest conclusion is that lipid organization changes across age and disease, but the 539-region atlas itself is a spatial reference map rather than a longitudinal experiment. Human developmental and clinical studies demonstrate broad lipid remodeling, while disease resources identify cell-type-specific changes. These findings support testing whether lipizone boundaries, identities, or intensities shift, but do not yet show how each of the 539 regions behaves.

A more exploratory reading treats the 539 lipizones as potentially dynamic chemical territories rather than fixed anatomical units. Developmental lipid programs, disease-related shifts in myelin and cell composition, or altered connectivity could change territory intensity or boundaries. This interpretation is grounded in observed lipid remodeling, but it remains an inference until matched atlases directly compare ages, disease models, and controls using the same spatial method.
