Did Bluesky improperly block user access to the DHS employee leak for political or legal reasons?Source

Bluesky blocked the DHS archive’s direct link over exposed contact details, while leaving reporting and discussion online.
Bluesky applied its privacy rule to a database containing thousands of workers’ contact details, while leaving room for users to discuss the leak and link to reporting about it. The ordinary institutional reading is a safety decision aimed at limiting redistribution of exposed personal data, not suppressing coverage of the breach.
When Bluesky blocks Icepick, who decides whether privacy protection has become a wall around evidence?
Bluesky labeled direct links to Icepick, the leaked DDoSecrets archive of more than 41,000 DHS workers and contractors, as “malicious.” The company says this protects exposed contact information while leaving discussion open. Reporting shows no government request or political order. But one private label now decides who reaches evidence about state power. Who watches that gate?
