The Story
The Reddit gray-alien image has no traceable source, and its link to any older video remains unshown.
The post is a new image without a documented chain of custody. The ordinary explanation is circulation without context, possibly mixed with familiar UFO material. Older examples have traceable upload or distribution histories, but none of the supplied evidence connects them to this Reddit image or proves an extraterrestrial source.
- The originating post provides no source for the images, while commenters explicitly note the lack of context.
- The 1996 Alien Interview and the 2011 Skinny Bob videos have distinct, separately documented circulation histories.
- The supplied sources do not establish that the Reddit image is a frame from either older production.
Deeper Insight
One gray face. Three old trails. The mystery may be how recycled images gain a past.
One gray face now points readers toward Victor’s 1996 tape, Skinny Bob’s 2011 uploads, and Guardian’s earlier photographs. But those trails have different origins, and none connects to this Reddit image. Sound familiar? A copied frame can inherit a legend. Without a source, date, location, or technical evidence, it has borrowed authority, not earned it.
- The Alien Interview story attached the footage to a supposed insider named Victor and an Area 51 facility, claims repeated in later accounts.
- Skinny Bob’s four clips appeared anonymously through “ivan0135” in 2011, leaving the uploader and source material obscure.
- The Guardian case shows that alleged gray-type photographs were already circulating in multiple versions of related UFO footage by the early 1990s.
