Could the 1950s photographic transients be sunlight glints from satellites monitoring nuclear tests?Source

The 1950s flashes are real archival anomalies; their cause and any link to nuclear tests remain unsettled.
The plates contain unusual marks, and the reported timing and shadow patterns deserve careful investigation. But the observations do not yet identify the flashes as satellites or demonstrate that anything was monitoring nuclear tests. Photographic defects, selection effects, timing problems, and other ordinary explanations remain active parts of the scientific dispute.
Nine flashes vanished from every other image. If the pattern holds, the sky may have been busier than history recorded.
Nine transient sources appeared on a 1950 plate, then vanished from earlier, later, and modern images. Other flashes reportedly clustered within a day of nuclear tests and avoided Earth’s shadow. That fits sunlit objects near Earth, but film defects, selection effects, and timing errors remain live explanations. Replication decides whether this is a sky mystery or a real security question.

For the nuclear intervention NHI believers. Is reality more boring than fiction or is something going on?

(tl;dr at the end if you don’t wish to read a bit) Old sky photos show strange brief flashes of light. In the 1950s, astronomers took lots of long-exposure photographs of the night sky. On some of those photos, small star-like points of light appear that are not there on
